Sumanth Mahalingam

Sumanth Mahalingam is a ninth grader from San Jose, CA. He learned Carnatic Vocal from Sri Paduka Academy under the guidance of Vidwan Sri. Hari Devanath and Vidwan Sri. Vivek Sundararaman. He is currently under the tutelage of Vidwan Sri. Sikkil C. Gurucharan. He attends Evergreen Valley High School. He has participated in competitions such as the Kala Aradhana, Cleveland Thyagaraja Festival, Saptami Foundation Competition, and Papanasam Sivan Competition. He has won prizes from these competitions. He also learns Mridangam from Nadhopasana Academy of Fine Arts under the guidance of Vidwan Sri. Ravindra Bharathy Sridharan.
