Shashvath has been learning Carnatic vocal music from the age of 5 from his father Shri Vivek Sundararaman, a disciple of Kalaimamani Shri Neyveli Santhanagopalan. He is currently under the tutelage of Vidushi Sriranjani Santhanagopalan. Shashvath has performed in many concerts in the Bay Area, CA and in Texas. He has participated and won prizes in renowned festivals like Cleveland tyagaraja Aradhana, Papanasam Sivan festival, OSAAT music competitions and Kala aradhana competitions in the bay area. He has also given several concerts of an hour or more in duration.
