Priya K

Priya started learning Bharatanatyam from the age of 6 and has been pursuing it over the last 14 years. She has trained under great dancers like Smt. Sreejaya Nair and Smt. Sunita Nair and is currently learning from Smt. Gayathri Rajaji. Priya has been giving both music and dance performances at various events, social media platforms and competitions in schools, colleges and outside. She participated in the global online competition 2020 held by Insight Foundation and won 2 nd place in the thillana category and special mention in the varnam category.Priya has successfully completed Madhyama Purna exams in Dance with Distinction conducted by Akhil Bharatiya Gandarva Mahavidyalaya. She has been also been learning Carnatic music since 2008,  initially from Smt. Hemalatha Nagaraj and currently from Shri. Narayanan Iyer.
