Kum. Bharati Kamakoti is disciple of Late. Sri Bhagavatula seetharama sarma and
Sangita Kala Acharya Smt. Suguna Varadachari. She has been learning Carnatic music for the past 13 years. She is a recipient of the CCRT scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Govt of India. She has won the tambura prize from Mylapore Fine Arts and accolades from across other sabhas. She holds an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and is currently pursuing her PhD at IIT Madras.
