Aathira Ramesh has been training in Carnatic Vocal Music since 2014. A student of Dr Vijayalakshmi Subramanyam, she is adept at handling the Varnas and selected Keerthanas of Sri Tyagaraja and Muthuswamy Dikshitar with ease. Aathira was the first runner-up of the National Level Music and Dance Competition held by Kalasourabha 2K20 in the Carnatic Vocal section, Junior Category. She has also been part of several Carnatic and devotional presentations held online by various organizations such as Guruguhaamruta and Gun Gaun Main over the past year. A student of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Anna Nagar, Chennai, she was adjudged the best student of her class in 2016–17 and 2018–19.
