Kallazhagar, The most beautiful God of Tirumaliruncholai, to be premiered on July 22 this year in Narada Gana Sabha, Chennai, is Asha Krishnakumar’s 7th curated concept.
In collaboration with expert consultants, Sri Sundararajan Bhattar, Tirumaliruncholai Sri Damal Ramakrishnan and Dr. Chithra Madhavan, the production is a rich combination of tradition, sthala puranam, folklore and history.
The exhilarating music by Dr. Rajkumar Bharathi & Sri. Sai Shravanam, outstanding choreography by Smt. Jayanthi Subramaniam, and resounding narration by Sri. Malola Kannan is sure to immerse you in bhakthi and ultimate surrender at the feet of Sundararaja Perumal of Tirumaliruncholai.
The stage backdrop of the temple gopuram, the vivid images of Tirumaliruncholai and Sundararaja Perumal on the LED screen, the beautiful verses of the Azhwars and Acharyas set to original music, and Kallazhagar’s famous procession to Vaigai on his mesmerising golden horse (made especially to match the original one) are sure to take you on an exhilarating journey of a lifetime.
