Nava Narasimha, (the most gracious God of Ahobilam), the concept is uniquely crafted with several interesting and fascinating episodes drawn from history, tradition, Vedic literature, Puranas, Temple inscriptions, and folklore. Laced with breath-taking elements, this production is aimed to give the audience an experience of a lifetime. The LED backdrop provides the perfect ambience. A researched booklet on Ahobilam is distributed free during the show. The hymns from Nalayira Divya Prabhandam, Abeethi Stavam, Narayaneeyam, Avanthika Parinayam (the Sanskrit play written by the 7th Jeeyar of Ahobila Mutt, about how Lord Narasimha marries Chenchu Lakshmi), Ashtapathi, Karavalamba Sthothrams, and Annamacharya’s kritis, among others, bring out aptly the nuances of the various emotions of Lord Narasimha. The lilting Telugu folk songs add authenticity and signifies the importance of the Chenchu Tribe in Ahobilam. The production is conceptualized and curated by Dr. Asha Krishnakumar. The lyrics are chosen in consultation with Sri Damal Ramakrishnan. Dr. Chithra Madhavan, the well-known historian, has validated the documented history used in the production. The music by Dr. Rajkumar Bharathi and the audio design by Sri Sai Shravanam give every devotee an out-of-the-world experience. The Natyam, choreographed by Kalaimamani Dr. Sheela Unnikrishnan, provides a visual delight. The narration, in simple Bhagavatham style, by Sri Malola Kannan enhances the bhakthi quotient.
