Rajitha Bharatan  was introduced into the art form of Bharatanatyam  at the age of 6 under  Guru Smt Suganda Iyer of Jayendra Kalakendra and  later with Guru Smt Manjula Ramaswamy of Srirama Nataka Niketan. With her Guru she has given several performances in various dance festivals in Andhra Pradesh and also performed for DD Hyderabad.

Over the years, in her keen interest for learning the depths and diversities of the dance form, she completed Karnataka dance exams under the guidance  of Karnataka Kalashree Guru  Smt. BK Vasanthalakshmi, Bengaluru. Inorder to learn more complicated nuances she attended various workshops conducted by Guru Smt Rama Vaidyanathan in the US  and to perfect her technique she is presently learning under Guru Shri Shankar Kandaswamy.

She was fortunate to be a part of a team in facilitating Guru Smt.Ramavaidyanathan's production Vivartana to Phoenix Arizona in may 2019

While she pursued her career in Physical therapy in India, Canada ,UK , Rajitha

continued to perform as a solo artist to represent her art and culture to diverse population in these countries.

Rajitha lives in Phoenix, AZ with her husband and 3 boys where she continues to actively

perform and pursue her career as a Physical Therapist.

Rajitha teaches little kids as she believes that propagating the art form is also very important to nurture the young minds.
