Pavithra Jayaraman Rajeev is an avid dancer who quit a senior high paying banking career to pursue her passion for Bharatanatyam. For her, dance is not just a practice of an art form or an expression of one’s creativity and ideas, but a form of meditation that takes her into the depths of her inner journey manifesting itself as a humble offering to the Divine. Currently a part of Ameya Repertory under the artistic guidance of Guru Smt. Chitra Chandrasekhar Dasarathy, she has performed in various productions as part of the repertory. She has also given numerous solo performances at various festivals and venues. She recently graduated as a Gold Medalist in MFA in Bharatanatyam from SASTRA University Thanjavur, and was the recipient of the K. Subrahmanyam Memorial Award as the topper. She currently trains under Guru Smt. Chitra Chandrasekhar Dasarathy in Bangalore. She is the founder of dance school Arpana Kalagrham where she teaches around 30 students.
