Jeevika Bhat has been learning Odissi for the past seventeen years under the tutelage of Guru Jyoti Rout. With the blessings of her Guru, she completed her Ranga Puja, or solo debut, in 2013. She is a recent graduate of UC San Diego, where she studied Mathematics with minors in Linguistics and Dance, and was a member of several Indian dance teams. Currently, Jeevika is working as a math teacher for elementary to middle school students, and plans to eventually pursue her MFA in Dance from UC Irvine.
