Guru Kala Rathna Mrinalini Sadananda  is  one of the world renowned deciples of Padma Bhushan Dr Vempati China satham.Founder Director of Kalamamdapam a kuchipudi dance academy in Washington DC.

Smt. Mrinalini Sadananda hails from a family of artists. Her father Vinjamuri Parthasarathy Iyengar and mother Smt. Kamala Devi.. Mrinalini was introduced to dance at a very young age. Over the years, her Gurus (teachers) have included her own sister Mrs. Hemalatha NaramhaChari, Burra Subramanya Sastry, Chinta Raddha KrishnaMurty, Adinarayana Sarma, Mahankali Surya Narayana, SathyaPriya Ramana  vedantham Ramu and Dr. Vempati Chinna Sathyam. She feels strongly that their dedication to this art has molded her in to what she is today. In addition, her Drama teacher Sri Mandapati Ramalingeswara Rao helped her understand the importance of facial expressions for which she is very well known. Mrinalini is married to Dr. K Sadananda, the son of a great Telugu and Sanskrit scholar Sri. Kuntimaddi Seshasarma and JayaLakshmi. He has always supported her passion for dance and encouraged her to continue refining the art within her..

after immigrating to United States. She began by performing extensively across the United States. About 40 years ago she took on the mantle of Guru and it is this role she has flourished. She is an artist of unprecedented  graceful intensity ,her abhinaya according to the audience and scholars is her asset..she brings to her dance a rare sense of devotion and dedication. Most importantly she has continued the tradition of her own Gurus by passing this art to countless youngsters. In this endeavor she began as a volunteer teacher for 7 years at Gandhi Memorial Center and for 7 years at the Chinmaya Mission at Washington DC.. later she established her own  "Kalamandapam" as an institute dedicated to dance and music.

As a vehicle for her own creative impetus and as a means to motivate her students, she has put on several dance ballets. Sarvam Vishnu mayam,  Sharanm Ayyappa, Andal Kalyanam, Sri Venkateswara Vaibham, Sambhavami Yuge Yuge, Raamayanam,  Bharatha Sambhava m, Budham Saranam Gachami, Telugu Samskrithi ballet for TANA.

Kalamandapam  invites many Kuchipudi exponents to enhance the style and the future Kuchipudi dance in United states..

Her  major performances  are at prestigious Kennedy centre Washington DC, Ophra house studio in Australia ,  Nehru centre in London, Flower Festival in Switzerland...Seoul  South Korea..Helsinki in  Finland, .and  many more ..

Guru Mrinalini sadananda also visited and  performed in countries like Japan,sweden,  Malaysia,Thailand ,Dubai.

She performed at Many places in India including Mamallapuram dance festival Tamil Nadu..Amaravathi dance festival Andhra Pradesh, Baha'i international dance festival, Natyanjali at srivilliputhur, along with  many  other margazhi Sabha performances at Chennai. She was an anchor on television show where she interviewed  many great legends from India..

She was the recipient of the many awards and titles from all over the world .
