Kum. Disha D.P, a Bharatanatyam dancer, is a 3rd year B.A, L.L.B student at Ramaiah College of Law. She is a hardworking and dedicated dancer who started her journey in dance at the age of 6 at Pranava Nrithyalaya, Bengaluru. She is being trained under the able guidance of Guru Smt. Shalini Srikanth. She has successfully completed her Junior and Senior level Bharatanatyam Examination under Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board. She has also finished her Arangetram in the year 2017. Disha has attended many workshops and performed at various prestigious platforms from the past 5 years, both stage and online. Disha has been a teaching assistant her institute for the past 3 years. An ambitious and determined dancer, Disha has performed in various places along with her Guru at prestigious platforms like Nadaneerajanam in Tirupati, Kaivara Mahotsava, TTD at Bangalore, Shirdi Sai Baba Temple at Maharashtra, Pongu TamilTamilnadu, ICCR, Shakti-a thematic performance in association with choreographers like Narendra Kumar L and Anjali Attavar Santhosh, Channarayapatna and various dance festivals, cultural events sponsored by different organizations and at various prestigious temples in and around Karnataka. Few of the workshops that Disha has attended are Abhinaya Workshop by Guru. Bragha Bassel, Kushupudi workshop by Guru. Vasanth Kiran, ‘Enhance Your Creativity’ Workshop by Guru. Haripriya Nambudiri etc. Dance has helped her holistic development as a human being. She strongly believes that dance will keep her grounded and will take her a long way in life.
